A Series of Unfortunate Events – A Netflix Series

A Netflix series review by Inesh Shenoy

Hi! I am Inesh and I recently finished watching a Netflix series called ‘A Series Of Unfortunate Events’. This televised show is based on a series of books by the same name, written by Daniel Handler.

Listen to the review directly from Inesh Shenoy

Daniel Handler is an American author and musician, best known for ‘A Series Of Unfortunate Events’. He writes most of his books under his pen name, Lemony Snicket.

Lemony Snicket is the narrator of ‘A Series Of Unfortunate Events’, and he is also a character in the story. Lemony introduces us to the Baudelaire family, which is made up of Beatrice Baudelaire (mother) and Bertrand Baudelaire (father) and their three children. The story revolves around the adventures of the Baudelaire children, Violet (eldest daughter), Klaus (son) and Sunny Baudelaire (baby daughter). They are played by Malina Weissman (Violet), Louis Hynes (Klaus), and Presley Smith (Sunny).

A Series of Unfortunate Events – A Netflix Series (Image: Netflix.com)

Violet Baudelaire is very inventive. She can build any device with the help of ordinary objects that are around her. Klaus Baudelaire loves reading and has read lots of books on different topics from the huge library in his house. He remembers all that he has read and can recall everything accurately. Sunny Baudelaire is an infant and loves biting into things. Her teeth are so strong that she can even bite into wood and metal!

The story starts with the Baudelaire mansion burning down completely in a sudden, terrible fire. Along with their home, the Baudelaires also lose their parents to the fire. In that moment, the Baudelaire children are turned into orphans and there is nowhere for them to live.

Mister Poe is a banker at Mulctuary Money Management, and is now in charge of managing the Baudelaire children and their “enormous fortune” till they grow up. Mister Poe takes the kids to Count Olaf (played by Neil Patrick Harris) as he is the “closest relative” and places them under his care.

Neil Patrick Harris is an Emmy award winning, American actor. He is multi-talented and is also a producer, singer, comedian, writer and magician. He is one of my favourite actors. I think his role as Count Olaf was perfect, as it allowed him to play many different roles.

Count Olaf is supposed to be a famous theatre actor and is always behaving like he is acting on stage. He takes charge of the Baudelaire children and takes them into his scary looking house. But Count Olaf and his bunch of actors are very cruel and they treat the children very badly. The children realise that they are in terrible danger: Count Olaf only wants their fortune, so they escape from him.

Mister Poe places the Baudelaire orphans under the care of another guardian, Uncle Monty, who appears to be an old friend of their parents. This is when they first start learning about something called V.F.D. But Count Olaf hasn’t given up on his chase, as he wants to take over the Baudelaire fortune at any cost. He disguises himself and comes to Uncle Monty’s house to catch the Baudelaire children.

This is how the whole story goes. The Baudelaire children keep running away from Count Olaf and his dangerous gang, and they keep coming after them in different disguises. Every time the Baudelaires escape from one unfortunate event, they only get trapped in another one! The Baudelaires run from one guardian to another guardian, and with each new guardian they learn something more about the V.F.D. For example, they learn that it is a top secret organisation and that their parents were part of it too.

Will Count Olaf and his gang stop at nothing to get the Baudelaire’s fortune? Can the Baudelaire orphans escape? Will their story remain to be a series of unfortunate events ending in sadness? How does V.F.D. fit into all this?

I found ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ so interesting that I watched the whole series episode after episode continuously, and I finished it within a matter of days! That is 25 episodes spread over three seasons! I think they call it “binge-watching”. Sometimes, our friend Ananya also joined us in watching these shows.

My favourite parts of the series are when Violet invents devices within a matter of seconds in the nick of time to help them in any situation. And every episode had so much suspense, and ended with a surprise!

You really need to watch ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’. It is extremely wonderful. In fact, even at the very end, the story ends with a big surprise! I loved it. I am sure you will too.

By the way, Neil Patrick Harris has recently written a new book series for kids called ‘The Magic Misfits’. I have just started listening to these on Audible, and will review them soon after I have finished listening to the books.

Bye, guys! See you next time!

Jumanji – The Next Level

(A movie review by Ishaan Shenoy)

Hello! I am Ishaan and today I am writing about the movie, ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’.
Jumanji is an adventure board game that magically pulls the players right into the game, making it a real-life adventure for them. In the earlier movie of the series, ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’, the board game magically converted itself into a video game console. Like the board game, the players can survive the challenges of Jumanji and return to their own world, only if they win the game.

Listen to Ishaan’s review of Jumanji – The Next Level

In Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, four teenagers (Spencer, Bethany, Fridge, and Martha) got pulled into the Jumanji Video Game. They had to group together to survive the game and return to their normal lives. These kids also met Alex, who was trapped inside Jumanji for over 14 years, and together they managed to win and get out of the Jumanji world. The four who had now become friends, had promised never to play the game ever again.

Inesh, Ishaan & Iresh after watching Jumanji with their friends Arjun & Aarav.

All this happened one year before the story of Jumanji: The Next Level. This movie starts with the four of them deciding to meet for a coffee, since it has been such a long time. But when they meet, Spencer is not to be found anywhere. So Fridge, Bethany, and Martha go to Spencer’s house to look for him, but he is not there.

They are shocked to find that Spencer still had the Jumanji video game console, and has disappeared into the game. The friends are left with no option but to go back inside the Jumanji game and try to save Spencer. But when they try to start the game, they are all pulled into the Jumanji world, but Bethany is left behind! Instead, Spencer’s grandfather Eddie and his friend Milo are sucked into the game. Now their job of winning the game became so much more difficult.

Jumanji – The Next Level (Image: MovieWeb.com)

Quickly, they all realize that this game is a whole new level and a whole lot tougher than the last one. Will the gang manage to find Spencer and save Jumanji yet again? How can they do this without Bethany being in the game? Or will they stay stuck inside the game for ever? Watch the movie to find out!

This movie is way funnier than the last two Jumanji movies. My favorite characters here are Fridge and Spencer’s grandfather Eddie. Also Dr Smolder Bravestone is played by Dwayne Johnson. He was a former professional   known as by his ring name The Rock. His wrestling career lasted for over seven years. He later moved on to a career of acting. My friends love WWE so much that sometimes they even play matches! I watched this movie in the PVR 4DX theater with my brothers and our friends Arjun and Aarav.

This is the best Jumanji movie so far. This movie was connected a lot to the earlier ones. My favorite part is when Fridge finds out that Eddie and Milo have come inside the game and not Bethany! And that Eddie has to be reminded almost every minute that he is not dead or dreaming! That was really funny.

4DX experience makes you feel like you are inside the movie and makes everything feel realistic. Here, it was like we too were pulled inside the Jumanji world! This is at least the fourth time that we have seen a movie in the 4DX Theater. 4DX is one of my favorite ways to watch a movie. If you want to know more about the 4DX experience, check my twin brother Inesh’s review of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

This is what Inesh has to say about ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’:
“I loved Jumanji. We watched the movie with our friends and so we had a lot more fun. I liked all the different characters. This movie was very different from the last two movies. It was a lot more funnier. I did not expect it to be so good, but when I saw it I was laughing and laughing. I think everyone will have a lot of fun watching this movie.”

Our younger brother Iresh was not very keen to see this movie, as he thought it maybe scary like the first Jumanji movie. But when he watched Jumanji: The Next Level, he loved it more than us and was laughing louder than all of us.

We loved Jumanji: The Next Level and hope you do too. If you have already seen this movie, tell us what you think about it. Did you like it? What was your favorite scene? Write to us.
Meanwhile, I am now eagerly awaiting for movies like ‘Black Widow’, ‘Wonder Woman: 1984’, ‘Artemis Fowl’, and ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ to release. I really can’t wait to see them. Are there any movies that you are looking forward to? Tell us about them.

Until next time!

Minecraft – The Game

(A game review by Iresh Shenoy)

Hello! My name is Iresh. Today I am going to review a game called Minecraft. The game is a pixelated video game, created by Mojang.

Listen to the Minecraft Game review directly from Iresh Shenoy

Minecraft is about surviving nights with monsters spawning, like spiders, zombies, witches, skeletons, creepers. Monsters spawn at night. Animals spawn during morning and night. You can kill the animals for food.

Minecraft: The Game

In Minecraft, you have to mine resources and craft new items. You can craft new things if you go mining, because if you go mining you will get stone, coal, iron, gold, and diamonds. You can craft torches with coal, you can craft armour with leather, iron, gold, diamond. You can also craft tools with them.

My favourite thing in the game is that there are achievements. Achievements are like missions. For example, “bee are guest”. When you find a bee hive, you can put a campfire below and take their honey with bottles. That is why it is called “Bee are guest”.

Iresh is showing off his minecraft shirt and the game website.

I like playing Minecraft a lot. It is very fun building houses, getting resources, fighting monsters. You should download this game because I think you will have lot of fun: building portals, houses, machines, getting achievements, and fighting.

There is a special portal called the stronghold. If you find it and go through, there will be a dragon. Try to defeat it. I killed the dragon, but it killed me hundreds or thousands of times. It is fun playing.

Bye! See you soon.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

(A movie review by Inesh Shenoy)

Hi! This is Inesh of the iThree. We saw the latest movie Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on Sunday. This latest film is directed by J J Abrams and produced by Lukas Films. The Rise of Skywalker is the ninth episode in the Star Wars series and brings an end to the Sequel Trilogy. It is also the last movie of the overall saga.

Hear the movie review directly from Inesh Shenoy!

In an earlier movie The Force Awakens, Ben Solo became Kylo Ren and he tried to make Rey go to the dark side. This also happened in The Last Jedi.

This storyline continues in The Rise of Skywalker too, where Rey, Finn, Poe, and The Resistance have to find the Sith Way-Finder, but only two of them were made and Kylo Ren already has found one of these.

Star Wars… Here we come!

A Sith Way-Finder is a special compass that leads you to a secret world called Exegol, where Emperor Palpatine has been hiding all these years. He has now created the biggest fleet ever, which he calls “The Final Order”, and is threatening to start a war to end all resistance and rule the whole galaxy.

They start searching for the Sith Way-Finder, but Kylo Ren finds them first and again tries to make Rey go to the dark side. Rey finds that she can’t control herself. Rey is scared that she might become bad, bring an end to the Resistance, destroy the galaxy, and rule the universe with Kylo Ren.

Will Rey be able to control herself? Will the Resistance win the war? Or will Emperor Palpatine win, with Kylo Ren successfully making Rey go to the dark side? You should watch the movie to find out.

What good is a movie without a couple of buckets of pop-corn?

My favourite character is Babu Frik. Babu is very cute and funny, and he is also one of the important characters in the movie.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was full of suspense and action. The graphics were very nicely done, and it all looked very real. It was really nice how they made the movie very serious and funny at the same time, I really liked that combination. I love Star Wars movies because everything is futuristic: from laser guns to spaceships and space travel, it is all very interesting. Overall, the movie was awesome.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is a must watch for everyone. It is a great way to end the saga. I loved it and I’m sure you will too.

Special Effects of the 4DX Theatre

My brothers and I watched Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in the PVR 4DX Theatre, these were the following features:

Scent: If we were watching a scene with flowers, fruits, plants and trees there would be a nice sweet smell.

Motion: If we are flying in a plane, swimming in an ocean, or running, the seats move exactly how the character is moving, it all feels very real.

Wind: if we were in a heavy storm or going at top speed in a car, air would be blown at us.

i3andCo getting ready to take their seats in the 4DX Theatre

Snow: If we are in a cold area like a snowy region, there would be fake snow falling all over the place. It was a very nice feature.

Smoke: If there was a fire in the movie, the whole room would be filled with smoke, you would really think that there is a real fire!

Water: If you are near a shore and the waves are really strong, some water gets sprinkled on you! This also feels very real.

Light: This was one of my most favourite features because everyone would be shooting guns and there would be light all over the place! Even if there was a lightning strike, there would be a flash of light. This was the best feature ever. I loved it!

Thanks to the 4DX features, we felt like we were inside the movie and a part of everything that happened. It was a wonderful experience!

Bye guys! We’ll see you next time.

Visiting the Sherlock Holmes Museum at 221b Baker Street, London

– A Travel Journal by Ishaan Shenoy

We recently travelled to England and Scotland in the United Kingdom. During this trip, we went to London for a week, and did a lot of sightseeing. We saw the Buckingham Palace, Hyde’s Park, London Bridge, and many other tourist places. In London, we also visited the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, the London Eye, Disney’s Shrek Adventure, the London Dungeon, Sea Life, and of course Legoland.

Listen to the travel report directly from Ishaan Shenoy

Today, I am going to write about our visit to the Sherlock Holmes Museum. It is located at 221b Baker Street and is made to look like the official house of Sherlock Holmes. It even has a shop which sells souvenirs, posters, games, action figures, books, etc., all related to Sherlock Holmes.

Inesh, Ishaan, and Iresh (The #iThree) keep vigil along with the policeman outside 221b Baker Street, London

We went on a tour of the house inside which Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson lived. It is a four story building.  In the first floor is Sherlock’s room. It was amazing. There was the armchair he sat on, his violin, and even the skull he kept near the fireplace. His pipe and cap were also there, along with a lot of things that appear in the Sherlock Holmes stories.

In the second floor was Dr Watson’s room. Inside there were two pages of a book, that Watson wrote. There were also mannequins doing different scenes from Sherlock’s adventures. Looking around these two rooms, it feels like Sherlock Holmes was real and really lived in this house. But we know that he was only a character – and the best consulting detective – created by Arthur Conan Doyle.

I don’t remember the third floor very well, but I do remember the fourth floor which was the attic. The attic had a small toilet and bath, and also a few suitcases and boxes used by Sherlock. We were greeted into Sherlock’s house by Mrs Hudson, who is his housekeeper. Also, there was Inspector Lestrade of Scotland Yard, who showed and explained some of the things in the room.

My brothers also visited the Sherlock Holmes Museum with me, and this is what Inesh has to say about the experience:

There was a person standing outside the main door of 221b, dressed as a policeman from the Sherlock Holmes times. Inside the house, I really liked the Sherlock Holmes statue and the way they had used many mannequins to show different scenes from the Sherlock Holmes books.

They even had this large book and a feather pen (quill) on Dr Watson’s desk to show how he would be writing. The best part was that the wall in Sherlock’s room had bullet holes, showing how he had fired his pistol at the wall to try it out. Exactly like in the books and his movies!

Inesh and Ishaan (the iTwins) strike a pose alongside the bust of Sherlock

My favourite part was when I got to see Sherlock and Watson’s rooms. It all felt very real and looked like Sherlock and Watson really lived in this house. It has made me like Sherlock even more and I have now started reading all the Sherlock Holmes books!

Ishaan is inspecting a corpse alongside Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson

If you are a Sherlock Holmes fan, you will love this Museum. If you are not a fan, visiting the Sherlock Holmes Museum will really make you a fan. Thank you for reading this review. See you soon!

Aladdin – A Disney Movie

A Movie Review by Inesh Shenoy

Aladdin is a new Disney movie directed by Guy Richie. The movie has real people acting in it, along with very good animation and computer graphics. It also has a nice combination of songs. Thanks to the #StarMoviesSecretScreening, we got to watch the movie a day before it released in the City theatres.

Here we are with our very own #StarMoviesSecretScreening boarding passes to watch Aladdin!

Aladdin is a poor street boy who lives in Agrabah with his pet monkey Abu. Agrabah is a small city ruled by the Sultan. Princess Jasmine is the Sultan’s daughter. She has a pet tiger named Rajah. Aladdin and Princess Jasmine fall in love, but there is a rule in the Kingdom that the princess can only marry a prince.

Listen to the review directly from Inesh Shenoy

Jafar is the Grand Vizier of the kingdom. He is a sorcerer and wants to find a legendary magical lamp. With that lamp he wants to be the most powerful being in the world, and also be the Sultan of the Kingdom. Jafar promises Aladdin that if he gets the lamp for him, he will make him a prince. The lamp is inside a cave. Aladdin goes inside the Cave of Wonders, but gets trapped inside. Aladdin also frees a magic carpet inside the magical cave.

The Star Movies people asked us to take a photo when the the magic lamp first appeared!

Not knowing what the lamp is, he rubs it and a huge Genie appears. The Genie says he can grant him three wishes. With the Genie’s help, Aladdin and Abu escape from the cave with the lamp and the magic carpet. Now Jafar is after Aladdin, wanting to get the lamp and the Genie. Jafar manages to grab the lamp from Aladdin and now that he controls the Genie, he appoints himself as the Sultan and takes over the kingdom.

Can Aladdin defeat Jafar with his pet monkey Abu and the magic carpet?  How can they fight Jafar now that he is the master of the genie too? What will happen to Princess Jasmine? To know what happens next, you have to watch Disney’s Aladdin movie.

I loved all the songs in the movie. My favourite song was “Friend Like Me”,  by Will Smith. I also liked the song Speechless, sung by Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine in the movie. It is a very powerful and touching song, and plays an important role in the movie.  Another favourite song of mine from this movie is “Prince Ali”. This song is also  sung by Will Smith.

Enjoying popcorn as we wait for the movie to start!

Will Smith did an amazing job acting as the Genie, and I loved his role.I also loved his songs. Mena Massoud plays Aladdin and Princess Jasmine is played by Naomi Scott. I liked both their roles a lot. I also liked Jafar’s character, because of all the sorcery and magic he shows.

I loved the movie a lot. I think you should watch this movie because it is a really magical and fun movie.

The Magic Finger – by Roald Dahl

A book review by Iresh Shenoy

Hello! My name is Iresh Shenoy and I am seven-years-old. Today I am writing about the book ‘The Magic Finger’ by Roald Dahl. This book is illustrated by Quentin Blake.

Listen to the review directly from Iresh Shenoy

Roald Dahl is the world’s number one storyteller. I have seen movies about his books too. They were ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and ‘BFG’ (Big, Friendly Giant).

The Magic Finger is about a girl called girl. We never get to know her real name in the story. The book is about this girl who has the power of the magic finger and a family whose children are the girl’s friends. The children’s names are Philip and William, and their family always goes to the forest to hunt birds and animals.

Iresh appears quite pleased with his read of The Magic Finger

Every time the girl tries to stop them or gets angry about anything, she uses the magic finger. She can’t stop it. If she gets very angry with somebody about something, she uses the magic finger.

The Magic Finger is a kind of super power. When she points her finger at somebody, a lightning like ray shoots out of her finger and makes some magical things. In school, the magic finger made her class teacher grow animal parts. When she is trying to stop the family from hunting, her magic finger turns their hands into bird wings!

My favourite part was when the family learnt their lesson. The girl tries to use her magic finger to save the birds from being hunted. She also uses her magic finger to turn the family into birds. But now it is the real birds who have hands and their guns. And now they are trying to hunt the family’s children! What will happen next?

I think you should read this book because it teaches us that we should not hurt any animal. It is also funny in many places. And filled with surprises.

Have you read any other book by Roald Dahl? How about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? If you like any other book let me know. I would like to read it too.

See you soon!

Coraline – by Neil Gaiman

A book review by Inesh Shenoy

Hello! I am Inesh Shenoy and I am nine-years-old. Today I am writing about the book ‘Coraline’ by Neil Gaiman. This book is illustrated by Chris Riddell and published by Bloomsbury.

Listen to this book review directly from Inesh Shenoy

Coraline came in a box set of three books by Neil Gaiman, and also had ‘Fortunately the Milk’ and ‘The Graveyard Book’ in it. You can read my review of ‘The Graveyard Book’ here and read my twin brother Ishaan’s review of ‘Fortunately the Milk’ here. After reading these three books, Neil Gaiman has become one of my most favourite authors.

In the book, a family shifts to a new house with their daughter Coraline. This house used to have another section, which was removed in the past and covered up with a wall. But when Coraline opens the door, she sees that sometimes instead of a wall, it contains a mysterious passage to another place!

Our resident Neil Gaiman expert is happy with his books!

Inside this passage there appears to be a house that is exactly the opposite of the house she lives in. It is like looking into a mirror, but for real! Even the neighbouring house is there, but everything is exactly the opposite of how it is in the real world!

Coraline enters this mirror dimension of her house and is surprised to meet her parents there! But she quickly realises that these are not really her parents as they have black buttons instead of eyes. These mysterious creatures had already captured Coraline’s mother and father, and now have captured Coraline too! They are not letting Coraline go back to the real world.

Who are these mysterious creatures? Why do they want Coraline to stay with them? What is this mirror dimension? Can Coraline escape from there? Can she save her parents? Read the book to find out.

My favourite part was when Coraline tries to find various ways to escape from the mysterious mirror world. It was like solving a large puzzle, one piece at a time, and it was it all very interesting. When I read this book, I felt very scared. The book is amazingly spine-chilling spooky.

I think you should read this book as you will like it very much. It is scary, but much fun too. It also tells how Coraline is brave and fearless, when it most matters. If you read it, let me know.

Is there any other Neil Gaiman book that you have read? Or any other book that you would recommend me to read? Write to me!

Chakra The Invincible – by Stan Lee

A book review by Ishaan Shenoy

Hello! My name is Ishaan Shenoy and I am nine-years-old. Today I am going to review the book, ‘Chakra The Invincible’ by Stan Lee. Yes! The same Stan Lee who is the legendary creator of Spiderman and all the Marvel characters! Chakra is illustrated by Jeevan J. Kang.

Listen to the review directly from Ishaan Shenoy

The book is about a boy named Raju Rai, who stays in Mumbai. His parents are dead and he lives with his elder brother Sameer. Raju accidentally finds a super-hero suit created by a scientist, Dr Singh. This suit gives Raju super powers and lets him fly, shoot lasers, see the future, and even heal others!

My favourite part is when he gets struck by lightning and sees the future: he sees Rio, Bangalore, Mumbai, New York, and many more cities around the world going up in flames. He sees the end of the world!

Ishaan appears rather excited with the book

The villain of this story is Shatru Seth, who is also known as Boss Yama, the god of death. He wants to destroy the world and kill all the people. He wants to end the world. Raju knows that he is the only one that can stop this. But what can he, a small boy, do against the combined strength of Yama and his team of super villains?

This story is interesting because it takes place in Mumbai and India. Chakra is Stan Lee’s first Indian superhero. Also, there is a point where Raju’s brother Sameer joins the villains side, and unknowingly fights and captures Raju. What happens afterwards?

Boss Yama has captured all the leaders of the world in one place, and plans to replace them with his own people. Can Raju as Chakra stop him and save the world? You have to read the book to find out.

While Chakra is created by the same Stan Lee that created Spiderman and all the Avengers, I did not like it as much as all the other Marvel stories. The Avenger stories are more interesting, surprising, and fun. But I loved it when Stan Lee appears in the book. I always like the parts when Stan Lee appears in the comics and the MCU movies!

By the way, ‘Chakra The Invincible’ was also made into an animated movie. Have you seen that on TV? I liked the animation as much as the book. After all, the story is the same.

I think you should read this book because it has action, laughs, and a little bit of suspense. If you read this book, let me know. I would like to know if you liked it.

See you soon!

PS: Are you looking forward to watching Captain Marvel this weekend? It is releasing tomorrow and we can’t wait to watch it in the theatre!

Horrid Henry and the Abominable Snowman – by Francesca Simon

A book review by Iresh Shenoy

Hello! My name is Iresh Shenoy and I am seven-years-old. Today I am going to write about the book ‘Horrid Henry and the Abominable Snowman’. This book is written by Francesca Simon and illustrated by Tony Ross.

Listen to this book review directly from Iresh Shenoy

Francesca Simon has written nearly 25 books about Horrid Henry. ‘Horrid Henry and the Abominable Snowman’ is number 16 in the series. My brother Inesh recently reviewed David Walliams’ latest book ‘The Ice Monster’, which is also illustrated by Tony Ross. If you have not read Inesh’s review, go and read it

Horrid Henry is a nine-year-old boy and he is very naughty. And very mischievous. Most of the time his mother says, “Don’t be horrid, Henry!” That is why he is known as Horrid Henry. Horrid Henry has a younger brother, who is a goody-goody boy, and is known as Perfect Peter.

Iresh appear very happy from his read of the Horrid Henry book

Moody Margaret is Henry’s neighbour and most of the stories are about Henry troubling Perfect Peter or fighting with Moody Margaret. In this book there are four chapters.

Chapter one is about a snowman competition. Whoever wins it will get free ice-creams for one year! And Henry decides to build the largest, meanest, biggest snowman. Does Henry’s snowman win him lots of ice-creams?

In the second chapter, Horrid Henry is troubling his brother Perfect Peter. He offers Peter a deal and says he will not trouble him, if he will pay Henry some money. It is very funny. It felt like it was real. This was my favourite chapter in this book.

Chapter Three is about using make-up and giving people face-lifts. Henry sees Moody Margaret giving her friends face-lifts and think he can do a much better job and make loads of money. What happens is so funny that it has to be read!

Chapter four is about Henry meeting his favourite author TJ Fizz. The author is coming to visit Henry’s classroom to give them a book reading from Henry’s favourite books! But Henry has to behave and stay quiet in the class. Is Henry able to do this or does he get in trouble again?

Horrid Henry also comes as an animated series on TV. I have seen this same story of the author’s visit on TV also. I liked it very much. I think you should read this book because the stories are very funny and it feels real.

Have you read Horrid Henry? Do you like it? If you read any other book, let me know. I would like to read it too.

See you soon!
